Wind Prospect Ltd has submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate against Newark and Sherwood District Council’s decision to refuse the planning application for the four turbine Fox Covert Wind Farm located between Hawton and Cotham, south of Newark-on-Trent.

If consented, the wind farm could deliver a range of economic and environmental benefits to the local area.

The 10 megawatt (MW) development has the potential to generate as much electricity as is used by over 5,400 households. Each proposed turbine has a height of 130m from ground to the tip of the blade when upright.
